Diana Canetti, PhD

Wolfson Drug Discovery Unit, Centre for Amyloidosis & Acute Phase Proteins, Division of Medicine, University College London, London, United Kingdom

Research interests: protein misfolding diseases, amyloid proteomics; mass spectrometry; clinical proteomics; post-translational modifications; protein biochemistry, biomarkers discovery, precision medicine.

Dr. Canetti obtained her Master’s Degree and PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples (Italy). She is currently post-doctoral research fellow at UCL Centre for Amyloidosis and Acute Phase Proteins (UK).

She is an expert in the application of mass spectrometry to address problems of physiological and pathological importance. Her current research activity is focused on the amyloid characterization using proteomic approaches, and in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying amyloid deposition in patients with amyloidosis.
