
Jiong-Wei Wang, PhD

Research interest: Cardio-metabolic diseases, extracellular vesicles, nanomedicine, advanced drug delivery, and molecular imaging.
Dr Jiong-Wei Wang obtained his Ph.D. in Medicine (2013) from Leiden University Medical Centre (The Netherlands), followed by postdoctoral training in University Medical Centre Utrecht (The Netherlands) and National University of Singapore. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, with joint appointments in NUS Department of Physiology and the Cardiovascular Research Institute, and a Principal Investigator in the Nanomedicine Translational Research Programme.
Dr Wang's team has been working on cardiac immunology and preclinical development of nanomedicines, including extracellular vesicles and synthetic nanoparticular drug delivery systems, for new therapies in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
