Vitamin C and its metabolite are essential micronutrients that play a significant role in numerous physiological processes. Disorders affecting vitamin C include deficiency, insufficiency and inherited defects. The following article is part of a series to aid the reader in diagnosing the cause of various biochemical imbalances.
